For years, I've sourced pieces through layers of middlemen — never quite sure of the true origin, never able to touch the fabric until it was too late. I found myself frustrated, longing for something deeper than catalog pages and wholesale websites.

 

I wanted to feel the softness of the cotton with my own hands. To check the stitching, the drape, the breathability. To meet the makers. To know the story behind the fabric and to trust the quality before it ever reached your closet.

 

That’s why I created Global Sourceress. It’s my answer to the disconnect between makers and buyers — a way to go straight to the source. I travel to the markets, touch every piece, ask questions, and hand-pick small batches of clothing that meet my standards for beauty, comfort, and integrity.

 

At the same time, I am responding to a growing demand for natural fibers. We’re learning more each day about how synthetic clothing sheds plastics, microfibers, and forever chemicals like PFAS that poison our bodies and our planet. Natural fibers — cotton, linen, and other plant-based textiles — are not only timeless in style, but also gentler on us and the earth.
