Alive with artisans producing leather goods, brass lamps, woven textiles, and more, the medina of Fez dates back to medieval times, founded in the 9th century. A UNESCO World Heritage site, this traffic-free labyrinth contains more than 9,000 pedestrian streets teeming with life.

Here, shops are often extensions of family homes and workshops, where skills and traditions have been passed down through generations. The original layout of the medina was shaped by footpaths and donkey routes, winding through a maze of narrow alleys, hidden courtyards, and lively souks.
