Uruguay is known for wool production, as well as an array of small-scale, artisan hand-made goods. While the trip was mostly a personal one for some r&r, I did return with some beautiful handmade jewelry from the jungles of southern Columbia, as well as the Amazon and Argentina. On the beach, I met a beautiful woman from Bolivia who is supporting her bicycle trip through South America by selling her hand-made jewelry. ​
